The Village Hall does has different rooms to hire. Thus, on occasions, there are multiple events taking place. At these times it may be necessary to share the Kitchen and other facilities.

Do please check the availability of the hall by clicking on the left side of this page where indicated. On contacting the booking clerk, you will be required to provide: -

- the date of your event (plus alternative date/s if possible)
- name of the hirer and or organisation
- home address
- phone number
- type of event

Click here for a booking enquiry form or see the list of forms at the left of this page.

Please note there is a Minimum age of 18 on all Hirers.

The booking is deemed provisional until the Application form  is signed and returned to the booking clerk. On receipt of the correctly completed form by the booking clerk the hirer enters in to a Legal contract with the Management Committee where by the Terms and Conditions will be adhered to. See the left navigation bar for terms and conditions.

About 4 weeks before the event an Invoice will be raised for the Hire Charges. A deposit of £100 will be required if an event includes the service or provision of alcohol. This deposit will be paid in to our bank. Deposits are returned the week after an event has taken place provided that no damage has occured. All payments must be sent to the booking clerk at least two weeks before the event.

If the hirer intends to sell alcohol at an event then a Temporary Event Notice will be required and the booking clerk will be provide the appropriate forms that are required by Wealden District Council. It is not required to apply for an alcohol licence if alcohol is provided to guests but not sold.

Full instructions for the use of the electrical equipment in each room can be obtained by clicking here. These instructions include contact points if you require help.
